We peel our own to see if banana junkies are really on to something…or just off their rocker.

Nice article! Being from Berlin, Germany, I hadn’t had the chance to go banana, it’s hard to get your hand down on one around here. (Hey lib tech – change that!)
So there are still a lot of questions to be answered:
How does the board handle high-speed and going down the mountain fall-line? Riding for 16 years, I love it fast (ok, not as fast as the pros, but at least about 55mph), but I’m still wondering if it’s sketchier compared to a traditional camber and sidecut board???
For all you folks out there who already went banana: tell me your experiences. Like to hear your opinions.

i’m from germany too and know the hard way to get a lib..
my experience is that it goes super well on high speed. the rocker isnt really a prob to go fast. had also the apprehension that it could be difficult to ride it flat, not carving, with speed. but it turns out that it runs not to shaky/tipsy riding on the flat with speed. and its so forgivin, jibing is such a fun. thanks mervin for makin boards we all enjoy.
my add phil, if you like to talk in german.
