Marginal Way Artshow Recap
By Matt Vanatta
On Oct 7th Electric Coffin threw one hell of a party to benefit Seattle’s only DIY skate park Marginal Way. What better way to celebrate skateboarding and art then to have some of Seattle’s best up and coming artist throw their work onto sheets of grip tape and auction it off to the public. Girls came dudes came, and everyone partied, someone started setting off fireworks and there’s nothing more epic then explosives and old flammable buildings. Mob Grip, Creature, Brixton, Loser Machine, the Foundry, Band Vibes, Electric Coffin and Sno Con all donated product for a huge raffle to show their support for the boys down at Marginal who bust their ass pouring and shaping concrete so that we have a place to call our own.
There’s nothing that beats flying around fast smooth park and we want to see the park under the bridge continue to grow under the guidance of true blood, sweat, and beers skateboarders. Thank you to everyone that came out and please continue to support skateboarding, go down to Marginal Way skate, shovel, or throw in 10 bucks to help by some concrete, any help goes a long way.
