Bone Zone
By Ted Borland
It’s starting to be that time of year again. For those of us in Utah, that means its time to head up to the Bone Zone. We take some time every fall to go up and build rails, log jibs, and clear out good spots in the woods to snowboard on when the first couple snow storms fall.
This year has been like none other though, with more and more people coming up to help out and create their own features and zones. It’s bigger and better than ever. We’ve got tons of log jibs, a couple rails, jumps, bonks, open fields to get some turns, and whatever else the woods have to offer us. We even built some small shelters that you can use while camping up there. We had a good crew up there for our first snow camping mission of the year – lets just say that the midnight powder runs we took was the highlight of the season so far. Anyways, we’ve had snow for a few weeks now and it’s been awesome up there. Gotta love the preseason at the Bone Zone.
