We hit the road a few weeks ago for our second segment of Lib Tech’s NW Leg. This time we traded the maritime climate of NW Oregon for the blazing sun and tinderbox fire danger of Eastern Washington. The “Hot Lap” lived up to it’s hype with daily heat in the upper 90′s and some scorching skating of skateparks in Wenatchee, Leavenworth, Spokane, Richland, Prosser and Yakima. Our crew of Lib skaters Chad Fenlon, Mikey Swearingen and Edwin Swagerty, along with Yakima Hometown Hero Nathan Navarro and a media crew of Tim Zimmerman, Jesse and Pika Burtner went on a four day mission that stoked out kids, stacked footy, left skin, tailgated at Pizza Hut, drank a lot of water and put down some heavy lines over some of the great park of Eastern Washington.
