What is your art background? Do you have any degrees? If so which?
I have always been involved with art since youth. I began working professionally as a freelance graphic designer for Volcom in 1995. I enjoy all kinds of creative communication: Especially contemporary fine art and graphic design from the past century.
How did you get hooked up with doing graphics/art for Lib Tech?
Jamie Lynn and Mike Parillo recommended me.
How does skateboarding and snowboarding relate to your art?
It doesn’t. However, I always thought that the shape of a snowboard or skate board is an awesome way to present large and small scale graphics.

Where do you get your ideas from?
Everywhere. Interesting shapes, colors and objects I find especially beautiful are the most inspiring for me.
How long does it take you for a painting from start to finish?
It really depends on the medium. Collages can take any where from 1 hour to a day. Paintings and drawings consume more time. I typically revisit pieces for up to a month until aI consider them finished.
What mediums do you prefer to use?
Collage / Drawing.

Mike Parillo, Gerhard Richter, Robert Rauschenberg, Cy Twombly, Damien Hirst, Dash Snow, and most of the iconic big players in the contemporary movement from the past 6 decades. The list is long…
Hobbies besides art?
I am fascinated with any new locations and experiences. I surf, snowboard, and I enjoy the everyday adventure that life is with my wife and son!
