Q&A

Philosophy I used up all my philosophy in my teenage years, but it is mainly to give credit where credit is due, and have your own style by being a badass thrasher at what ever lifestyle you choose. I tend to pass my experience(s),knowledge, and wisdom on to the open minded youth, because most people my age usually think I am green and do not get how really black I am. I will always regard myself as a skateboarder before anything else. So that means I think I am some kind of radical dude. Because of skateboarding I am always going to be some kind of rebel and not be willing to fully conform to society, it is almost like a curse. They say, Once you have it in your blood,it is like a cancer and you can not get rid of it. How it all started with Mervin The memory of how it all began doing art work for Mervin is too far in my past for me to remember, but basically I was one of the first ten grunt employed hired to do production, and was the Finisher, or post- production guy. Painting and doodling were my specialty, and I think I just kind of forced my art work upon the business, using it for a board graphic or other marketing stuff. I was very inspired to be part of a company that I finally felt comfortable giving that extra heart and soul to, and it encouraged me to take my art serious to make money for myself and others. Have I ever had my art in a gallery? You know I have never had my art in gallery, mainly because I have not produced quality amount of pieces that could be showcased. Over the past years I have primarily designed art-paintings to be put on a snowboard, so in a way, having my art used for a board graphic that is for sale in a shop is just the same as being in an art gallery. Do I ever sell my artwork? I need to start producing art to sell, like in galleries. I have a couple friends who are going to buy some art from me, but it sucks because I have been trying to get something to them for a year or so. I do not paint full time and I am limited to usually sketching or painting for an hour or two in the early morning before the 9to5 job, or my kids get up. I would love to start making enough money being commissioned by people-businesses to support the family.
