What is your art background?
Self taught, I apprenticed at anchor tattoo for a year a long time ago, my gramps is a good painter, he is 88, he can paint some sick landscapes, cowboy/indian type stuff.
How did you get hooked up with doing graphics/art for Lib Tech?
Just through skateriding and snowgorfing, then I needed a job, so I did lay-up for a little while, but figured I was better at art than doing that shit.
How does skateboarding and snowboarding relate to your art?
Same freedom factor, you can just point it and not have to stop to ask for directions or permission.
WHAT’S YOUR ADVICE TO ASPIRING SNOWBOARD & SKATEBOARD ARTISTS?
Don’t try too hard to be aspiring whatever… do it because you’re passionate about doing the artwork, just let it happen. Don’t be like: ”I’m going to draw board art, because I’ll be so cool, get hot chicks, be rich, have my own reality show…blah, blah, blahh…just produce, ride, and have fun.
What Lib Tech Snowboard do you ride?
I only want to ride magna-bannana skunk apes for the rest of my life.
HOW WAS YOUR FIRST SKUNK APE ENCOUNTER?
I was fazed on the skunk ape, I got big feet, the ape came through with the magna-switch rodeo tailfish, late 180 tindy grab method varial to look-back-hair whip.
WHAT IS THE GRAPHIC ABOUT?
The graphic is kind of beauty meets ugly, like skulls and flowers, it’s supposed to be painfull, and soothing at the same time. Like a really good back massage.

WHERE DO YOU GET THESE IDEAS FROM?
From staring into outerspace and waiting for the paint goddess to appear, then she will tell me what to produce next.
How long does it take you for a painting from start to finish?
That is entirely up to the painting, usually it will let you know when its done, like ”hey man, I’m done”,could be a day, could be a year.
How many paintings do you do on average in one month?
If I’m in ”production mode ”i could pump out 5-10 bangers.
What mediums do you prefer to use?
Lately its been really mixed, like; aerosol, acrylic, ink, paint pen, pencil, stencils, squid ink, coffee, blood, vomit,..etc.etc.
What other artist from past and present inspire you, do you admire?
There’s way too many to list, but I like all the lib tech and spacecraft artists as well as dudes like podge, meer, sadams, clarke, fish, craola, pushead, rbt. williams, big daddy roth, bosch, giantone, heavy hitter crew, mucha, frazetta, crumb, doze, twist, fairey, sailor jerry, sarge, zuhmwaltd, kruger, bell, sarstad, conklin, a whole bunch others, anyone who is out there doing it is an inspiration to me.
What was your worst painting/drawing experience you ever had?
Probably the time I got arrested for doing a big mural in a skuzzy alley in seattle, they roughed me up and threw me in king county for a couple days with some straight up criminals.
What was your best?
Doing board graphics for lib and riding the same board..and that one time in a bar some milf gave me 200.00 as down payment on a mural i never even did…
Have you ever gotten in trouble for a painting or drawing, if so how?
Other than some jail time served, I would get busted in school for drawing little stick figure orgies on my peachy folders.
