What is your art background?
Finished high school. Couple drawing/painting courses at Green River CC.
How did you get hooked up with with doing art for Lib Tech?
Doing sk8 lay-up..then started turning stuff in.
What graphics did you do for Lib Tech this year?
Skunk Ape, Birdman, Dark, Banana Magic
What Lib graphic was the most fun for you of all time?
Probably last year's Magic.
What Lib Tech snowboard do you ride? Any other Lib product?
Skunk Ape,..I use all Lib outerwear..and skates.
How would you describe your style?
Tall and lanky.
Do you have any favorite board graphics that you have found inspiring?
I always liked the stuff Pushed did for Zorlac, and Jim Phillips stuff for Santa Cruz.
What is your creative process for snowboard art?
Stare at a blank piece of paper until something happens, then just attack...
What are your favorite mediums?
Aerosol, acrylic, oil paints, pencil, ink…watercolors...wharves.
How do you know a painting is done?
When it tells me it's done.
What is the best late night art elixir?
One part whiskey, one part ginger beer…couple tokes off the medicinal herbs.
Best way to cure a nasty case of artistic blockage?
Go outside, and look around.
How did you get started as an artist?
Just like any other kid, cruising around with crayons, drawing little stick men having battles and stuff.
Favorite place to paint?
Under a bridge.
Where is your favorite place to snowboard?
Alpental on Fat Tuesday.
What are some of your other hobbies?
Mural painting, tattooing, traveling, outdoor stuff...hanging out. Talking shit.
Any other projects you would like to talk about?
Got some art shows happening...couple mural projects...
What would you say is the best part about making art for Lib Tech?
Getting to ride the best available products with my art on it and hearing people say they either love it or hate it.
