Jamie, Jesse and Ted ripping Lib Tech’s Holy Bowly apart in this Weird and Bitchin’ edit!

In this episode of “Weird and Bitchin’”, Gnu and Lib Tech riders head over to Lib Tech’s Holy Bowly in Tenjin, Japan. One of the best snowboard sessions ever proceeded. It was all smiles, high fives and international stoke. This video shows a little bit of the awesome-ness that was the Holy Bowly; featuring Forest Bailey, Ted Borland, Jamie Lynn, Blake Paul, Jesse Burtner and friends. As event mastermind Krush Kulesza says “Gas up the van, wax your board and I’ll look for you in the line-up next year!”

“Weird and Bitchin’” is a series, by Mervin Mfg. featuring the exploits of the Lib Tech and Gnu teams and extended family. Just like the boards “Weird and Bitchin’” is made in the USA by snowboarders with jobs.

THE RETURN OF KINKO DE MAYO

Lib Tech and Bent Metal Binders welcomed THE RETURN OF KINKO DE MAYO to the sunny slopes of Mt Bachelor for a day of kinks, heavy metal, banana salsa and of course….the Squirt Pit.

Bent Metal heads Ted Borland, Max Warbington and Brandon Hammid mixed in with a huge crew of shreds vying for the last Superpark Superpass for Bridges and Snowboarder Magazine.

When the Squirt Pit dried up it was Kenny “Kornbread” Cummings who earned his Bent Metal cut and the Superpark Invite along with a tent/sleeping bag combo from Poler, a lib skatedeck and a giant bottle of Tapatio hotsauce….basically all a dude needs for a week of radness in the high desert of Central Oregon.

Jeff DeForge hitchhiked from New England to finish second and grab a Burtner Boxscratcher, Kenny Srofe took third and Zoe dominated for the girls and walked away with a new Gnu B-Street for her efforts.

(Please recycle) Hesho is made near Mexico in the USA with ecologically harvested Hardrock Maple from Wisconsin, and environmentally friendly lamination.

The newest art by Jamie Lynn, Mike Parillo, and Quincy Quigg can be seen on the ever-enduring Lib Tech Exo-Skeletech Construction decks. Recently more than 40 professional snowboarders, filmers, team managers, magazine dudes and photographers traveled to the other side of the world for Lib Tech’s “Holy Bowly” in search of good times, good bowls, and perfect shred. Words can not express how grateful we all were to how we were embraced by the Japanese snowboard community, proving without a doubt that we truly are one giant tribe of shred. Big thanks to Lib Tech and Monster along with Krush, Goro, the Tenjin Lodge, Jaime Lynn, Wes Makepeace, and everyone that made the journey to Japan with us. Be there next year!
