INTRO

Lib Tech is stoked to be working with NW ripper Sky Siljeg. Sky grew up in the NW just like we did. We have watched him grow from that long blond haired, young skate kid with endless energy, a permanently positive attitude, a super supportive mom and family to that young, long blond haired skate kid with endless energy and a permanently positive attitude and super supportive mom and family. We have noticed he seems to skate a lot better than anyone who builds the skates and snowboards here at Mervin. Sky is actively involved in giving back to the community in many ways, competing in the World Cup Bowlriding series and creatively shredding the environment he finds himself in. You could say he is the nice guy, but these days he’s skating way too committed and aggressive to be nice.

Q&A

What Lib Skate do you ride? I ride the super magical ones that are 8.25 inches wide with a 15 inch wheel base. Every once in a while when I need more super powers under my feet, I'll ride an 8.5 What do you like about Lib Skates? I like Lib skates because they're super strong and lightweight. Lib hand-crafts an awesome product near Canada in the USA. They're made by skateboarders who care about our environment and the progression of skating.   What's your favorite candy? Curly Wurlys are awesome. I've only been able to find them in New Zealand and Australia though. Have you ever peed the bed? No, it was the teddy bear. I swear! Denim or leather? Denim. Or what ever you'd call the thick cotton material they make chino pants out of.   Favorite trick? Backside disaster or backside boneless. They are fun. Favorite skate able city? Seattle Steel or pool coping? What kind of question is that??? Pool coping all the way! Favorite DIY skatepark? MARGINAL WAY!!! Plans for the upcoming summer? Travel, skate, compete, skate, film, skate, eat nature's candy (fruit and veggies). What else do you like to do when not skating? I like to snowboard, paint, eat candy, and travel. Who has helped you along the way in this skate journey? Everybody I have ever met has helped in some way or another. The smallest things make a difference. I think everyone knows I'm extremely lucky to have two brothers and an extremely cool mom, they rock! Wouldn't be me without them.
