INTRO

I met Blair at Crystal Mt. in the days of him ruling it on his downhill skis racing then switching to his snowboard, you could see just how much he loved it. I went to Blair's parents house one day to pick him up or something, the stack of seasons passes that hung on the wall are insane, all the years from super little kid on up to the now...truly impressive...blair will be riding forever. I think it is in his blood. ~Temple Cummins

Q&A

How was your summer? Loose. Spent 3 months in Kauai and discovered I enjoy dark rum much more than I had previously thought. Which board have you been riding this season? Any other Lib product? The TRS 159 and the Phoenix 157. Rode the Chugash a few times. Wore the new Lib Tech brain bucket at a contest; normally helmets throw me off balance when I first put them on, but that thing was so light I hardly noticed it. I ride Lib snowskates and Lib skateboards. Where are you calling home base this season? Seattle, Washington. What are you looking forward to this winter? Satsuma season. Spending more time in British Columbia. What is the first trip you have planned this fall? I will go wherever the snow falls. Probably Baker. Who do you look up to in snowboarding? I have a lot of influences, whether they know it or not. Jamie Lynn, Terje, Gigi Rüf, Matt Edgers, Lucas Debari, Temple Cummins, Donnkie, and Scott Stamnes, to name a few. Do you have a crew? Ummm, kind of. We have no marketed label. A collective of dirtbags, really. How would you describe your riding style? I like to go fast and aim for the lip. Do you have any snowboarding superstitions or habits? On the highway to Baker, there is a small hole/cave/mine on the side of the road. A friend, Sean "Donnkie" Mansfield, told me that if you look into the hollow on the way to the mountain you will have a good day riding, and if you spot it the way back to town you will have a good night with the ladies. My girlfriend and I are quite serious now and I find myself not paying as much attention on the drive down as I used too. Cleaning seems to produce better results. What trick is the most fun for you? That changes all the time. Right now, as it is summertime, I will say frontside airs and fin wafts. Where is your favorite place to snowboard? Haines, Alaska. What videos did you film for this season? Standard Films TB20, and I spent a few weeks filming with Absinthe in AK. What is the most radical banana riding you've ever done? Whoa... Do you prefer short, wide, or big bananas? Whoa!!! What trick have you been hoping to get on your banana but haven't quite nailed yet? I have a girlfriend. Are you competing in any contests this coming season? Sure. Will you be racing in the Legendary Banked Slalom this year? Who do you think will win? As long as I am able to stand on a snowboard, I plan to race the Banked Slalom. I have no idea who will win. I would like to see Maria Debari take it for the women. What are some of your other hobbies? Right now I am shaping a surfboard. Everything I do seems to revolve around moving forward while standing sideways. Any other projects you would like to talk about? Yeah, what’s up with the Lib Tech surfboards? Can I get one? What would you say is the best part about riding for Lib Tech? Having a voice in the R&D side of things. The opportunity to give input, then go out and ride with the guys making the boards and talk about the designs. It’s epic. I ride the best snowboards in the world. Last words? I would like to thank Aaron Robinson for ripping at life and keeping it confusing. R.I.P. amigo.
