EJack Knife Construction

Hi ! I’m curious is this board easily maneuverable in tight trees , is it quick edge to edge ? How is this board compared to Gnu mullair about maneuverability and float ? Sorry for my English but I’m from Bulgaria . Thank you !

  • Roland Czechowski

I have ridden both Mullair 159W and E-Jack 159. Same outline and flex pattern, I went with the E-Jack because I have a size 10U.S boot so the 25.4 waist suited me better than the waist widths of the Mullair 159 (25.0) or Mullair 159W (26.0). Absolutely amazing boards, best board I have ever ridden, amazing in trees, groomers, pow, park and pipe (if you know what you are doing for the last two!)

  • Andrey

Thank you Roland ! I’m most interested of tree riding and pow floating abilities of the E jackknife because here in Bulgaria there is a lot of woods and maybe 20% open places ! I have Lando 160 and goldmember 158 , Lando is ok in the trees but not very maneuverable , goldmember is very difficult in tight spots . My boots size is 10us , 180lb and I think that E Jackknife 159 would be ok for me .

Hello Lib Tech Team. I’m 180 cm and 75 kg. Shoe size is US9.5. I like Freestyle/Freeride riding. What size will be the best for me?

  • West Smith

Great looking board, How does it compare to the ” Mayhem- Round Nosed Fish”?

  • chednutz

Had a chance to rip around on this board (157) through some hard chundery conditions. It encourages aggressive riding and inspires confidence. Also very predictable, so getting out of trouble is almost as easy as getting into it. Do you want to go FAST, through every conceivable snow condition? Then this board is for you? PS I don’t believe for a second that the Mullair is the same stiffness. I rode the 159 Mullair, and the 157 Ejack back to back. The Ejack felt noticably stiffer and beefier.

  • Roland Czechowski

Yep, sounds spot on for what you need. I just rode it at Treble Cone on Monday in a foot of powder over in the Chutes area and it was amazing. It really is a perfect all-rounder with a focus on float.

  • Daniel Kean

Waiting to order this deck, but its not available in Canada yet from your site.. Any idea when it will become available? Can’t wait to get on this rig! thanks.

  • Matty

    @daniel_kean:disqus
It would be really cool of you to buy it from a snowboard shop, let’s keep them in business!
I live in Canada too, The Source in Calgary and Alternative113 in Quebec both have amazing online stores and ship decks for free! Preferably buy it from a local smaller shop, as the price will be the same and they want your business more than the big guys!

  • Daniel Kean

Thanks for the heads up Matty. The past few decks I’ve ordered have been from sourceboards in Calgary, but last year I snapped my deck and Lib sent me a code to get a deal on one this year, and that’s why I ordered from libs site.
I would have ordered from a snowboard shop otherwise.

  • Chris Bohm

I was there that day. It was sick. Rode a 2005 burton malolo because I kept going over my nose on my 159 TRS the day before. Should have had an EJack.

  • McDeez

If it was from a demo fleet how often they get ridden can play into that feeling of having a different flex. I wonder how it would feel if both were straight out of the wrapper?

  • Mark Molinari

Sounds like I should try the E-jack 159cm! I have a Muellair 159cm but I cracked the edge on a rock. Fixed it ok but it´s on borrowed time. I have a Us 10 aswell. I ride the 1st generation Zoid and would really recommend it. The board is very fun and will put a huge smile on your face! Cheers from Sweden!
