Snow skaters from across the nation came to Lib Tech’s home mountain Hurricane Ridge this past weekend.
The Snow skate Jam was on Saturday and the Almost Legendary Baked Slalom on Sunday. Saturday mornings report called for 1/2 of fresh with continued snow throughout the day. To everyone’s surprise almost a foot of fresh had fallen before 10am. Powder skates ran amuck and the Jam was postponed till late in the day. Rocker Trucks very own, Jake Tomlinson won the coveted golden snow skate shot ski. Sunday was epic with yet another fresh snow reset accompanied with great visibility. Pow laps all morning capped off with frothy, make it or break it, Baked Slalom. Pat Bonzer spanked everyones bare bottoms in the race as well as the Poma cat track downhill sponsored by Rival Powder skates. Here’s a video recap of the event. Music by Scotty don’t know.
