Huntington Beach’s Aerial Legend Ryan Carlson Chooses Lib Technology!

Seattle, Wa – Lib Tech is proud to have Ryan Carlson join our surf marketing team. Ryan will be acting as a team rider, social media content/surf athlete manager and has been working with Lib shapers Hendo and Olson on his new “Ringer” model (available this summer).

Included in SURFING Magazines top 10 most underrated US surfers, Huntington Beach’s Ryan Carlson has been pushing the leading edge of progressive surfing for decades. On his own early in life Ryan’s family has always been the surfing community. Working hard and surfing hard Ryan has couch surfed his way around the world including five years on the east coast, many winters on the North Shore, Europe, Indo etc. His raw real personality, enthusiasm and natural athletic talent have enabled him to collect magazine covers, air shows wins, video contest victories and the respect and friendship of the world’s best surfers. When he is not with his family Ryan is constantly in the water, sessioning with the boys, teaching surf lessons in HB, or quick photo/video trips to Mexico or Hawaii. Surfing takes care of Ryan and he takes care of it.

“I went from breaking over 100 polyester boards a year to having one Lib Tech Waterboard last me all year. I am so stoked to be working with these guys. They are radically pushing surfboard construction and materials forward in multiple directions at once… performance, durability and environmental. Everyone sprays about all kinds of new surf constructions and over the years I have ridden and broken them all… the Lib Tech boards are unreal…you will see, they really are the future.” ~Ryan Carlson

In 2011 Ryan was the winner of SME’s $25,000 Surf Video Contest at the US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, CA. Other finalists included: Mason Ho, Chris Ward, Nate Yeomans, Mike Losness and Asher Pacey.

“Ryan Carlson is incredible. He told me he gets so low to his board sometimes he bruises his balls. I don’t think he ever got the respect he deserves for being one of the best air guys ever. He committed his life to pushing aerial surfing and I have seen him do things that are not human. Thanks for always blowing my mind Ryan and being such a good guy.” ~Joe Foster / The Inertia
