Lib Tech Ski is proud to announce the signing of Lucas Wachs to our professional ski team!

Bend, Oregon’s Lucas Wachs is a rising star in the freeski world and long time Lib Tech ski / skate Ripper. Lucas grew up alongside the Warbington brothers, skiing, skating, snowboarding and generally just playing with gravity together. They formed the notorious “Tre Squad” crew producing edits and on snow “happenings” like Shorts and Shades 1-10 that have ushered in a new era of Mt. Bachelor’s historically dominant free style prodigies. Combining a skate background with life long mountain experience Lucas skis with a flow and confident aesthetic beyond his years and has been instrumental in dialing in Lib Tech’s revolutionary technologies to enhance the forward facing gravity charging experience.

Lucas throws horns for the Lib Tech UFO, the ski he rides daily and helped design.

Day in day out Lucas explores the nooks and crannies of his home terrain from Mt. Bachelor to surrounding tour ski accessible volcano voyages. But he’s also jumped at every opportunity to travel the world chasing critically acclaimed video segments with the world’s top athletes and film makers. From his Rookie of the Year nominated performance in “All Damn Day” to dread dropping hits in “Ring the Alarm” and leading in to this October’s much anticipated “Guest List” from Good Company, Lucas delivers on video hammers and real time A-grade content helping create the new media mold for action sports athletes. Most importantly though Lucas is simply a good dude. He’s up for whatever, he’s true to his homies and he’s super easy to work with.

When we started building skis it was because our friends demanded it. Friends like Mt. Baker’s Tory Bland, a ripper who wanted to ski a brand that meant something to him; every Lib Tech is Made in The USA, leaves Zero Hazardous Waste in it’s manufacturing, has revolutionary MAGNE-TRACTION® serrated edge technology and is conceived and created by passionate doers. Now many years later Lucas is that friend and he also happens to be one of the best young skiers in the world. So it’s with particular pleasure that we announce friend / collaborator / Ripper Lucas Wachs as our marquee athlete and activator in this next exciting chapter of Lib Tech Ski.
