CLASSIC LINES/PERFORMANCE FEATURES

A fan and family favorite, the 8’ Pickup Stick is long enough to be called a longboard but unbelievably agile and fun. Designed by Mike Olson with the help of Hendo, this beauty is built for amazing nose rides while still retaining a playful short board feel. A flat wide concave nose carries speed and glides effortlessly through extended nose rides. Parallel rail lines through the body of the board insure trim speed. A rounded pin tail with the most rocker of any of our Pickup Sticks provides effortless turning, control and hold through high performance arcs off the tail. The bottom contour is part of what really makes this board magic... a forgiving catch free chine runs along the rails from in front of the fins all the way around the nose. A single concave to double V out the tail adds planing speed and allows the board to easily transition from rail to rail. The 8’ has become a favorite around the world... it fits in the elevator or inside your car and rips turns like boards two feet shorter and glides like boards two feet longer.

Best board I have ever had

I currently own 2 libtech boards 6.6 and 8 pickup stick. Both boards are absolutely fantastic, very performance oriented and excellent all around boards. Extremely durable and fun to ride. I can recommend to anyone ????

Good for most conditions and light enough for long hikes in

Such an amazing board. I would highly recommend this board for a beginner who is trying to step down to a smaller size from a longboard. It can still get in early but has a more maneuverable and light feeling than a standard 9 foot plus log. I have tried other mid size and this is by far my favorite. The durability is also a huge plus for rocky beaches and being made locally is the icing on the cake.
